I want to thank all of you for taking the time to subscribe and follow me. I also want to let you know that I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth. For those of you who were regular listeners to my podcast, you will know that I would be stepping away from my show, in order to work on a book that I’ve been wanting to write for some time now.
That’s exactly what I’ve been doing! I’m finishing up the initial edits on the manuscript and am very excited at the progress I have made. While it still needs the eyes of a professional editor, the story is done! At least the first installment of the series is completed. I have certainly missed doing the show. It will still be some time before I’m back in the saddle, but I wanted to provide this update.
I also went back over my Substack posts and realized that it turned into an absolute dumpster fire when I migrated my podcast to Substack from Buzzsprout (again)! Hopefully that is cleaned up now. There shouldn’t be multiple, confusing posts for my previous episodes. I sincerely apologize for that. I don’t generally go back and look at my old posts. I’m glad I caught it, as there are many new subscribers. I’m still a very small operation, but each and every one of you are valued and appreciated. I hope to grow this platform considerably moving forward.
As I get closer to the release of my book, I will share more details about it and start making appearances on other freedom-loving shows. Please feel free to reach out to me. I am quite open to corresponding with anyone who is gracious enough to take the time. I am also open to any suggestions for graphic artists for the cover of my book and advice from fellow authors on how best to proceed with the self-publishing process. I am planning on self-publishing to avoid “the beast”, as my friend Ahmad Malik calls the corporate model.
Thank you again for your interest and support. This quote by Postman should give you a clue about the content of my upcoming novel…
“Technopoly is a state of culture. It is also a state of mind. It consists in the deification of technology, which means that the culture seeks its authorization in technology, finds its satisfactions in technology, and takes its orders from technology.”
― Neil Postman, Technopoly: The Surrender of Culture to Technology
